We have moved back into the textbook after our review of multiplication and long division. I will assign a review on Monday, 10/4 for a test over Chapter 1 lessons 1-4. We will review together for 2 days and have a test on Thursday, October 7th.

Chapter 2 involves understanding and using various statistical graphs such as scatter plots, line plots, stem and leaf plots, box and whisker plots, as well as bar graphs and histograms.  We will also work with mean, median, mode and range.  I hope to have a test near Oct. 20th

We are working in chapter 2 on fractions, mixed numbers, decimals, repeating decimals, exponents, and using all of those while solving algebraic equations. We finish the chapter with scientific notation. I hope to have a test near Oct. 20th.

We are in Chapter 3 working on the distributive property and simplifying algebraic expressions and equations. We will finish up the chapter with area and perimeter of quadrilaterals. There will not be another test until after 1st quarter. The next test will likely be the week of 10/25.

We are forging ahead in Unit 2 learning about and comparing linear functions and exponential functions with a taste of exponential growth and decay problems. There is a quiz today, another next Wednesday and a Unit 2 Test on 10/12, as long as we stay on track.
